Avis Finance Rotational Analyst Program – Rotation Position Descriptions


The following Rotations are Sponsored by David Calabria – SVP & Treasurer


Rotation 1: Treasury: Managed by Alan Koines & Tina Daroszewski
Responsibilities:
 Support data analysis and documentation review on all capital markets issuances and bank
facilities renewals/extensions.
 Support ongoing compliance reporting and KYC requirements.
 Manage all derivatives cash settlements and reconciliations.
 Assist with letter of credit processing for daily and weekly activity.
 Coordinate with accounting and FP&A team in regards to reconciliation of all debt and
derivatives general ledger activity. Assist with variance analysis of actual results versus forecasts.
 Support debt team managing investor and banking relationships.
 Oversee daily cash management related duties including; determination of daily cash position,
inputting wire transfers, inter-company transfers, investment of cash balances, forecasting and
other transactions
 Maintain and update the global long-term and short-term cash forecast by working with internal
business contacts
 Assist with accounting requests, payment research, and treasury cash related inquiries
 Help with security administration and user review on banking and treasury related systems
 Work on bank account openings, closings, and signature maintenance requests
 Work with various business areas to obtain required bank KYC and compliance documentations
requests
 Responsible for monthly bank fee account analysis review
 Supports FBAR and SOX compliance including document procedures and flows
 Assist in multiple special projects as requested by management
Project:
 Lead the development and implement of the Fleet Funding Forecast cube in PBCS
 Transition all global debt into the Kyriba debt module, as well as full integration with accounting
modules and cash modules

Rotation 2: Group Consolidation Analyst: Managed by Lisa Meadows
Responsibilities: Support the close and consolidation process of our global financial statements by utilizing Oracle
Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS)
 Perform financial statement analysis over various reporting units
 Be a key contributor within our Reporting Center of Excellence and help oversee governance of
our global Chart of Accounts
 Coordinate and communicate with various levels of accounting and finance management across
the global organization
 Lead or participate on special projects/research across the global organization
 Respond to requests received from management, other departments and internal/external auditors.
Project: Assist with rollout of Oracle’s Planning Budgeting Cloud Service, (PBCS), Balance Sheet Cube
and our global cash flow forecasting process.


Rotation 3: North America Accounting Analyst – USRAC: Managed by Rob Frey
Responsibilities:
 Support the monthly close process of our North America business by utilizing Oracle Fusion.
 Perform monthly account reconciliations in Oracle ARCS
 Monthly Airport concession reporting and annual Airport audit support
 Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes
Project: Automation of Airport concession audit and reporting process to increase efficiency. Possible
implementation of BOT after Wizard Back Office, (WBO) 2 project is complete. Note - Project scoped
out by PwC and put on hold due to WBO 2 implementation moving our revenue distribution and
adjustment systems to the cloud.


Rotation 4: North America Accounting Analyst – Zipcar/Flexcar: Managed by Luz Batista
Responsibilities:
 Support the monthly close process of our Zipcar and Flexcar business by utilizing Oracle Fusion.
 Perform monthly account reconciliations in Oracle ARCS
 Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management
 Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes
Project: Assist with build and test of interface between Zipcar admin platform and Oracle, including
automation of Flexcar monthly reporting.
Rotation 5: External Reporting Analyst: Managed by Paul Kusik


Responsibilities:
 Assist in preparation, coordination, and related analyses of quarterly SEC filings
 Prepare quarterly reporting schedules to support financial statements and footnote disclosures
 Coordinate with various levels of management to accumulate necessary data
 Assist in review of Investor Relations’ quarterly earnings release and call script, as well as
investor presentations
 Prepare various pension plan and 401(k) plan annual financial statements
 Work closely with external auditors facilitating quarterly review and annual audit of SEC filings
(10-Q/Ks, 11-Ks) as well as annual pension plans financials. Prepare disclosure checklists
 Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management
 Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes
Project: Utilize Wdesk functionality, Wdesk Sync, to auto-populate 10-Q/10-K workbooks with Oracle
FCCS data - build process and needed SOX controls.
Rotation 6: Internal Audit: Managed by Brandon Clark
Responsibilities:
 Contribute to the planning, fieldwork, reporting phases of assigned audits
o Primary focus on airport concession audits
 Assist with Audit Issue Remediation follow-up: The Analyst will assist Internal Audit in
obtaining remediation status on open audit issues (per published audit reports) from Audit Issue
Owners. They will also review supporting evidence to validate remediation is complete in order
to formally close audit issues.
 Support Internal Audit’s SOX PMO responsibilities through the coordination and follow-up on
the completion of both the control design and operating effectiveness testing assessments
performed by the business control owners
Project:
Assist Internal Audit in enhancing the current risk assessment processes (both global ERM and fraud risk
assessments) by incorporating more quantitative inputs to better identify, size, and trend risks.

Responsibilities:

 Global Capex Portfolio KPI dashboard (potentially leveraging Tableau capabilities)
 Individual project return analysis for high profile project investments (identify key data points
and build tracking model to assess actual project benefit/impact)
Project:
 Project investment alignment with P&L investment (People, Places, Partnerships, Software,
Hardware)
o Track entire functional cost structure including capital investment and return (Functional
portfolio approach to cost management & investment)

Responsibilities:
 Track monthly results and forecast variances, develop monthly forecasts, and contribute
to the annual business planning process for our Cost of Sale expenses and Marketing
investment expense
 Create, update, and distribute tracking reports to Senior Executives demonstrating how
our mix of revenue sources directly impacts the P&L
 Partner with our Marketing leadership to track their monthly investment spend and ensure
we remain within organizational budgets
 Collaborate with Sales leaders to analyze the profit contribution of current accounts and
partnerships and model out potential new accounts
 Support ad-hoc financial analysis and provide financial support to business partners in
various projects. Project:
 Complete a project analyzing our current revenue portfolio across several dimensions
including customer segmentation, brand, length of rental and channel and offer
recommendations about how to optimize that portfolio to align with key strategic KPIs
