National Account Manager - Government (61564)

Avis Budget Group is looking for a National Account Manager for Government Sales.  National Account Manager will be responsible for a portfolio to include US Government, Government Preferred Supplier Partnerships. In this role, you will manage through complex negotiations, intricate contracts that are global in nature. You will leverage off existing relationships and develop new contacts throughout all government agencies to pursue new business opportunities. We are looking for an individual that has a understanding the urgency and unique role you play by providing and solving for mobility needs. As the face of our company, this individual will take leading role, and become an expert in the Government segment both internally and externally.  The successful individual must have expert level knowledge of government contract regulatory processes and terms and various agency supplements.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage, grow and develop your assigned portfolio of accounts, and maintain projected revenue/rental day targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with accounts, as well internal stakeholders. Effectively represent and promote our brands to C-level contacts, travel managers and procurement departments.
  • Identify and implement growth opportunities, and coordinate with Marketing, Pricing and other internal teams on launching strategic opportunities.
  • Negotiate and lead complex contract renewals.
  • Become subject matter expert relating to Disaster Relief efforts, working in tandem with operations while addressing emergency situations
  • Support, adapt and solve for unique needs of multiple government agencies (FEMA/Secret Service/Forestry)
  • Develop increased communications with internal teams impacted by Government business
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with account, including serving as the customer advocate on government employee websites, fielding claims inquiries, monitoring contract compliance, and carrying out reporting requirement of accounts.
  • Lead business reviews, and strategic planning sessions with accounts.
  • Evaluate existing partnerships and determine actions to optimize performance and cost of sale
  • Customer Service oriented – Work closely with accounts and Customer Center resolution team to address any related complaints promptly and efficiently
  • Cross functional work with pricing and operations team to drive share growth within the segment.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7-10 year experience in Account Management role is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

 

Skills and abilities you should have:

  • Driven, self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively
  • Analytical skills  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Salesforce to track and report sales activity
  • Strong prioritization and problem solving skills
  • Experience on Tableau, Brio, MSN BI or similar to track performance and opportunities
  • Minimum travel of 20% is required.
